Oakland Puzzle Company is sponsoring this free event to celebrate the release of the Long Lost Oakland Map as a 500-piece jigsaw puzzle made right here in Oakland [available for pre-order now]. The doors may close when the site reaches capacity. Please be on time, as programming will start promptly at 7:30.

Join us for a multimedia presentation about Long Lost Oakland, the historical map developed by Liam O’Donoghue of the East Bay Yesterday podcast. Long Lost Oakland features some of the most impressive features of the local landscape that no longer exist – from stunning architecture to bygone infrastructure and even extinct plants and animals. As we live through a moment when we can look around and literally watch the landscape of our city change before our eyes, this map highlights the many transformations Oakland has already experienced. This presentation will blend art and history in order to explore how our past connects to the world we live in today and the future we may be living in soon.
